We carried out an internal review of our equality, diversity, and inclusion practices to ensure we could demonstrate Aster Care offered both employment and promotional opportunities for members of the Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) community. The review concluded that Aster Care not only actively seeks to employ BAME staff, but matches staff to service users of similar backgrounds, and promoted staff to key worker positions. We employe staff from over 10 different countries, and over a third of our staff are from the BAME community. In other points highlighted, Aster Care pays all of its staff the National Living Wage, regardless of age, and recruits people aged below 25 years and over 70 years of age, creating a very diverse workforce!
